The Opportunity North East (ONE) BioHub is the iconic new home for life sciences in Aberdeen, providing an environment where businesses co-locate to translate world-leading science to the marketplace.
Being a brand-new purpose-built building, we were afforded the opportunity to provide a full office furniture supply to complement the fit-out and breathe life into the space.
We worked alongside a number of partners on this project, including BDP, Hulley and Kirkwood, Senator Group, IKEA, Vestre, Deanstor and Spoonflower.
In the atrium, the client wanted to convey a culture of collaboration. We curated a selection of modern desks and seating, helping to create an atmosphere that allowed for informal collaboration and providing a flexible working environment.
Our focus shifted in the office space, where we supplied and installed office furniture that suits more traditional fixed-desk working, complemented by a range of traditional task seating.
In the meeting rooms, we supplied sophisticated boardroom furniture, including boardroom tables with integrated cabling and presentation solutions.
Alongside other members of the project group, our collective efforts gained recognition resulting in this project being nominated as the Scottish finalist for the ‘Project of the Year – Workplace’ at the recent Mix Interiors Mixology North23 awards ceremony.
